POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director for Financial Planning & Analysis will be heading and managing a team based at GBC to complement and support the FPA team onshore covering budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and financial reporting for Conifer. The role is expected to effectively collaborate with the onshore team and to provide relevant and insightful analysis for the business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To provide guidance within the team for the review and analysis expense accounts periodically;
To provide insightful per division / workstream financial reports;
To take charge in the monthly PnL preparation, review and analysis;
To manage the periodic forecasting process and annual budgeting exercise
To act as lead point person with the onshore team and ensure efficient and effective support in all aspects of financial planning and analysis
May also be assigned with adhoc work
People management tasks such as coaching, mentoring, etc. to direct reports (i.e., Financial Analysts)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have ten (10) years relevant work experience in financial reporting and analysis
With experience in leadership position managing a team
Graduate of Business-related course / Finance / Economics / Accounting or other equivalent degree/course
MBA or other equivalent master’s degree

Excellent skills in complex analytic problem solving, strategic planning, program development, project management, change management and group process
Thorough knowledge of federal, state and regulatory accounting and reporting regulations and GAAP
Must embrace the continuous improvement mindset, seeking out new ways to do things and generate efficiencies or better analytical insights
Ability to understand the vision of the organization and translate it into specific plans and actions that achieve desired results
Strong drive for results including demonstrated initiative necessary to anticipate, recognize and solve for challenges
Must demonstrate customer focus (internal and external), attention to detail, command skills, and ability to deal effectively in ambiguous circumstances
Comprehensive understanding of financial planning and analysis processes
Strong oral, written and formal presentation skills including ability to communicate complex financial issues in a simple way
Advanced interpersonal skills: work well as part of cross-functional, multi-geographic teams and able to interact at all levels
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision
Excellent people skills to build a dynamic team and provide leadership among the direct reports
Team player and able to develop good working relationship with the various stakeholders within the organization
Must possess exceptional Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
