Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cybersecurity EDR Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, managing, and monitoring endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools across our organization’s systems. You will identify, investigate, and mitigate cybersecurity threats, ensuring the security of endpoints against malware, ransomware, and other emerging cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and manage EDR solutions to monitor and secure endpoints.
Investigate and analyze alerts and incidents from EDR systems to identify malicious activity.
Perform root cause analysis of detected threats and provide mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with other cybersecurity teams to enhance overall security posture.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current cyber threats, trends, and vulnerabilities.
Generate detailed reports and incident response documentation.
Coordinate with incident response and threat hunting teams to remediate compromised systems.
Continuously optimize and fine-tune EDR systems to improve detection and prevention capabilities.
Provide recommendations for endpoint security best practices.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in leading EDR platforms such as CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender, or similar.
Strong understanding of endpoint security, malware analysis, and threat detection techniques.
Proficiency in analyzing network traffic, logs, and event data from EDR tools.
Familiarity with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools like Splunk, QRadar, or ELK Stack.
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automating tasks and analyzing data.
Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and methods to identify indicators of compromise (IoCs).
Experience with incident response and forensics procedures.
Understanding of security protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection technologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically with EDR tools and endpoint protection.
Hands-on experience with endpoint security solutions, threat detection, and incident response.
Certifications (preferred):

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
Certified Endpoint Detection and Response Analyst (CEDRA)
GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)

Desirable Skills:

Experience with advanced threat hunting techniques and methodologies.
Knowledge of compliance regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and mobile device security.
