At least 4-5 years’ experience managing offshore resources and coordinating with parent company Shared Service Center management experience required
At least 4 years of experience in a managerial role
Comfortable to work onsite and on a night shift work schedule

Position Summary:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for oversight of buyers and all associated activities involved in the sourcing and procurement of supplies, equipment and services to support our companies operations at facilities in the United States. Provides leadership and direction in establishing operational goals and objectives for the purchasing activities. Directs and coordinates customer service with requesting departments, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction. Continually assesses and improves the performance of the buyers under his/her direction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for organizing procurement’s daily activities; assigning tasks and distribution of requests amongst the procurement shared service team
Primary responsibility to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function including quality, performance against SLAs / KPIs and fulfilling stakeholder expectations
Ensures procurement understand and comply with all objectives, performance standards and processes, as well as all companies policies and procedures
Actively collaborates with other functional leaders to share best practices and key performance indicators
Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
Identifies cost reduction opportunities by streamlining processes and systems (i.e., modification of responsibilities, elimination of non-value added processes)
Drives continuous improvement in overall service levels through monitoring of key performance indicators
Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders located in the United States to identify opportunities for expedited resolution of exceptions / discrepancies in support of timely payment for supplies, equipment, and services
Performs necessary follow-up between customers and vendors
Interacts with customers to assure needs are meet; informs customers of lead times, price changes, and/or back orders
Understands and embraces the Corporate operations and strategic direction
Aids in the recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of buyers
Add or request new vendor setup as required
Performs a variety of tasks as assigned
Reports to the Supply Chain director
