Position Summary:

Under direction of the Director, Regulatory Systems, the Regulatory Specialist will perform work reviewing and analyzing Health and Human Services (HHS) clinical and revenue cycle requirements and state regulations where Tenet’s acute care facilities reside. Responsibilities will include

Assisting in the validation of the data elements and data sources required for the calculation of the objectives and measures necessary to meet The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Promoting Interoperability Program
Active participation in the Public Health sub team assisting with testing, quality review of submission data, program evidence collection
Active participation in the Certification ID sub team assisting with monitoring the versions of EHR vendor certified technology and acquisition of vendor letters to support Certification IDs required for program attestations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure data quality through data analysis and investigation of data disparities
Create and maintain documentation of program compliance audit materials, reports, and training materials
Perform quality assurance assessments on evidence prepared by the hospital in preparation for attestations and assist in archiving of attestation documents
Engage with testing, quality review and evidence collection for electronic Public Health measures submitted to state and federal agencies
Assist with creating monthly powerpoint presentations for program updates
Regulatory research:
- Assist in the review of healthcare regulations, rules and standards to assess impact (Examples: CMS Inpatient Prospective Payment System rules, ONC Certification rules, HL7 standards, Value Set Authority)
- Compare and contrast vendor interpretations and design with rules and regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree related to healthcare field
At least 2 years’ experience in analyzing health data and managing data quality
At least 2 years’ experience working with a global team
Proficient with MS office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint and, Teams)
Detailed oriented
Ability to think critically and work through challenges
Able to demonstrate good time management, project management, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Proven ability to communicate with and understand the needs of internal clients
