This position requires a highly qualified medical transcriptionist to coordinate transcription workflows as well as perform quality review and edits of transcribed reports. The Transcription Coordinator must be knowledgeable in transcription and maintain a professional attitude and demeanor.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Review transcribed reports for completion and assist with resolution of issues.
Performs transcription edits, resolution of blanks and other report holds, resolves report issues to allow correct placement in the patient medical record, trouble shoots and works collaboratively to resolve system issues.
Performs updates in the provider database o Resolution of failed faxes as directed o Maintains tracking of issues for reporting purposes.
Monitors work flow on the shift assigned o Keeps the Transcription Supervisor abreast of changes and transcription related needs and concerns.
Perform Transcription Quality Review. Reviews transcription for accuracy and completion as defined by department procedures
Completes QA review tool and reports findings to HIM Supervisor
Other duties as assigned by HIM Leadership

Required Experience: Two years as a Health Care Transcriptionist

Preferred Experience: Three years as a Health Care Transcriptionist

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Education: Nursing or other Clinical discipline

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT)

Working Conditions:

Amenable to work onsite in BGC, Taguig
Willing to work in a dayshift schedule
